A chance to test quality of drinking water

Here is a chance to test the quality of drinking water supplied to your house in Vellore.

The district administration is currently making arrangements to provide free testing of water from July 1 to 3. This exercise is being carried out by the government as part of the National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Awareness Week.

Testing facility

The testing facility would be available at the Corporation, municipalities, town panchayats, village panchayats and Collector’s office.

Public can bring in a sample of the drinking water to ascertain its quality. Details of the quality check would be provided to the public immediately. The testing facility would accurately help to determine if it was protected or unsafe drinking water.

Rallies, meetings

National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Awareness Week will be observedfrom June 27 to 30. Rallies would be taken out as part of it. A grama sabha meeting would also be held to emphasis the importance of safe drinking water, a press release said.
