VIT University, Chennai, has inked a pact with Anyang Institute of Technology (AIT), China, for conducting various programmes in the Schools of Computer Science and Engineering and Mechanical and Building Sciences.
The MoU was signed on Wednesday by assistant vice-president Kadhambari S. Viswanathan of VIT University, Chennai, and Anyang Institute of Technology vice-president Xue-Zhi Li.
Ms. Kadhambari said that AIT has entered into an agreement to conduct summer courses in the areas of engineering, languages and business management at VIT, Chennai. “The agreement includes students and faculty exchange programmes and joint research in inter-disciplinary areas of specialisation of high relevance to both institutions. With a futuristic view to explore avenues for cutting-edge research, they also plan to establish Centres of Excellence in specialised fields of mutual interest in Science, Engineering, Technology, Management and Humanities,” she said.
