MLA hears grievance of voters in his constituency

February 05, 2017 01:32 am | Updated 01:32 am IST - Tiruvannamalai:

The former DMK Minister and MLA of Tiruvannamalai, A.V. Velu, has resumed a mass contact programme format he followed during his last tenure.

He introduced a toll-free number 1800419393 for public to air their grievances to their MLA and conducted about four chapters of “Vanga Pesalam” (come let us speak), a mass contact platform for him to interact with his voters.

Now the toll-free number had been restored and the vent was conducted at Keel Kachirappattu village in Tiruvannamalai block on Saturday.

The MLA received petitions from people and heard their grievances. Most of the petitioners demanded his intervention to get old age pension, house site patta, deepening of wells and digging of a bore well. Mr. Velu has deputed a team of party workers to follow up on the petitions case by case.
