The district administration has ordered that 23 TASMAC liquor outlets and attached bars located in Tiruvannamalai Town should be closed till 2 p.m. on February 6 in view of the consecration of Sri Arunachaleswarar Temple.
According to a press release, the 23 outlets were located in the town and on the road around the hill. The district administration had ordered that the shops and attached bars should be opened only at 2 p.m., instead of noon.
The rule applies also to bars in hotels that possess FL 3 licenses in the Tiruvannamalai town, the release added.
