63rd International Customs Day celebrated

The International Customs Day 2015, organised in commemoration of formation of World Customs Organisation (WCO) on January 26, 1953, was celebrated at Custom House, Tuticorin, on Tuesday evening.

According to a statement, the theme for this year is “Coordinated Border Management – An inclusive approach for connecting stakeholders”.

Chief Executive Officer of NLC Tamil Nadu Power Limited, Tuticorin, C. Ramachandran, was the chief guest.

Commissioner of Customs P.V. Subba Rao addressed the gathering .

Officials from V.O. Chidambaranar Port, various government organisations and members of trade and industry bodies participated in the celebrations.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of sports and other events conducted as part of the programme.
