4 Coimbatore youths under scanner for Bangalore blast case

The Karnataka police investigating the Bangalore blast case are questioning a youth from Coimbatore and plan to interrogate three others in the city.

They were arrested in various cases.

The Coimbatore City Police had arrested Ali for his alleged role in hurling a petrol explosive at Indu Makkal Katchi leader Arjun Sampath’s house on April 14.

The Karnataka police team after ascertaining that he had had a role, questioned him at the Salem Central Prison where he was lodged.

The team planned to question Saddam Hussein, who, the Coimbatore City police arrested in connection with an assault case in the Podanur Police Station limits.

Hussein’s alleged role in the Bangalore blast case came to light after a Karnataka and Tamil Nadu police team arrested Hussein’s relative Kichan Buhari of Melapalayam in Madurai.

Explosives

The Karnataka team also plans to question Hakkim of Elahi Nagar, Podanur. The Coimbatore police had arrested Hakkim a month or so ago on charges of possessing explosives.

Sources said the four had played a role in arranging explosives for the Bangalore blast.

The Karnataka team is likely to take them into custody from the Salem Central Prison.
