25 held for illegal jallikattu

Twenty-five persons have been arrested for organising jallikkattu events without permission from authorities and safety measures.

Utthanapalli police have filed cases against five people, including Sampangi (32). The jallikkattu was held in Sanamavu village.

Case registered

Royakottai police have registered a case against 13 people in Sonniampatti village near Royakottai.

Kelamangalam police registered cases against five persons from Kottapatti and two persons, including a village leader in Pethanapalli village near Kelamangalam, police sources said.
