As many as 183 educated youths got employment opportunity at the job mela organised at Moderator Gnanadesan Technical College, Nagercoil, on Tuesday, according to an official press release.
The release said the job mela was organised jointly by the district administration and Tamil Nadu Rural Livelihood Mission (TNRLM).
A total number of 1,233 people participated in the mela, in which 23 companies from Kanyakumari, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Puducherry, Madurai and Bengaluru participated. Sixty-seven candidates were given offer letters immediately.
The job mela was inaugurated by Collector Sajjansingh R. Chavan in the presence of Kanyakumari MLA K.T. Pachaimal, Nagercoil MLA. Nanjil A. Murugesan and Kanyakumari District Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union S.A. Asokan.
