15 stolen two-wheelers recovered

The city police on Wednesday arrested three persons and recovered 15 stolen two-wheelers from them.

With two-wheeler theft reported in many parts of the city, special teams were formed to nab the accused. Three persons, a bike mechanic Logu alias Loganathan (30) of Erumapalayam, Shakar (34) of Dadagapatti and Viji alias Rajkumar (28) of Omalur were arrested. Inquiries revealed that the three were involved in stealing of two-wheelers in the city.

The police recovered 15 vehicles, worth Rs. 7.20 lakh. The police said that Logu was released from prison 15 days ago and along with his gang members he was involved in theft.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic) S. Prabakaran appreciated the special team for nabbing the accused.
