A day after arresting eight fishermen from Nagapattinam, the Sri Lankan Navy on Saturday arrested 14 fishermen from Tamil Nadu, along with their trawlers, in two incidents.

Sri Lankan patrol craft attached to the north central and north naval command are reported to have arrested the fishermen on the high seas late in the evening and confiscated their boats.

Six Rameswaram fishermen along with their trawler were arrested near Talaimanner while the north naval command craft rounded up eight fishermen near Delft island along with their two trawlers.
