A 10-year-old girl, who was alone at home, was found murdered under mysterious circumstances near Walajah on Sunday night. Her mother and brothers found her strangulated to death at 11.30 p.m.
According to police, Valli (40), a resident of Bajanai Koil Street, Velampudur in Walajah taluk, had gone to her field to water the crops along with her two sons. She had left her daughter, Aarthi, alone at home.
When they returned home at 11.30 p.m., they found the girl strangulated to death. A nylon rope was found around the girl’s neck. The Ranipet police are investigating.
