India has welcomed the progress in the Pakistan trial of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commanders for their role in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, but has asked Islamabad to take action against the ‘ring leaders’ who orchestrated the entire operation.
“There are ring leaders [state actors] who should be tried for the attacks,” Union Home Secretary R.K. Singh told journalists. He, however, welcomed Pakistani investigating officials telling an anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi that the terrorists who carried out the attacks were trained at various LeT centres across Pakistan.
