Two more persons have succumbed to swine flu in the country’s IT hub, pushing up the viral flu toll in Karnataka to seven on Thursday.
45-year-old Edward Mohan, who was suffering from swine flu and admitted to Shifa hospital on August 15, died on Wednesday, health officials said.
In the second case, 36-year-old Kalpana, died of the viral flu on August 17, three days after she was admitted to Ramaiah hospital and put on ventilator, they said.
Both the patients have died of acute respiratory distress syndrome. Karnataka accounts for the second highest swine flu-related deaths in the country after Maharashtra, which has reported 18 deaths, including 13 in Pune alone.
