Swamy to file appeal by September 15

August 28, 2011 02:32 am | Updated 02:32 am IST - Mumbai:

Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy said here on Saturday that he would be filing his appeal seeking to make Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram the co-accused in the 2G spectrum case.

Dr. Swamy said that following a special CBI court's permission to him to conduct his case, he would be filing his appeal by September 15, the date set by the court.

Dr. Swamy said that much of the ill-gotten money in the spectrum was invested in foreign investment banks and brought back by way of investment on the stock market. He blamed globalisation and neo-liberal policies for perpetuating a culture of greed and leading to corrupt practices.
