Such reference is unfortunate: Delhi

March 10, 2011 11:06 pm | Updated 11:06 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

India on Thursday “categorically denied” allegations of hosting Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) training camps in Tamil Nadu.

“Such reference [Sri Lankan Prime Minister's statement in Parliament] is indeed unfortunate and we urge the Government of Sri Lanka to desist from reacting to speculative and uncorroborated reports,” Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs Vishnu Prakash told mediapersons here.

“We categorically deny the existence of such camps…the Sri Lankan government has not taken up the matter with us.”
