Proceedings in Parliament were stalled on Monday with Opposition parties vociferously demanding the resignation of Communications Minister A. Raja on 2G spectrum allocation.

The Opposition also demanded dismissal of another Minister for his alleged involvement in an illegal arms deal. The Lok Sabha witnessed two adjournments during question and zero hours and adjourned for the day about half-an-hour after it met for the post-lunch sitting. The Rajya Sabha too witnessed adjournments on these issues.

In the Lok Sabha, AIADMK members, supported by NDA members, trooped into the well of the House, waving copies of an English daily that carried a report alleging Mr. Raja's involvement in the spectrum allocation. Left members alleged that a Minister was involved in an illegal arms deal and demanded his dismissal.
