Spectrum: CBI looking into issue from 2001 to 2007

Even as controversy over allegations against Union Textiles Minister Dayanidhi Maran relating to the 2G spectrum allocation continued to simmer, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday said it had already registered a preliminary enquiry into the 2G spectrum case from 2001 to 2007 and was actively looking into it.

“It is a preliminary enquiry and we are looking into the matter actively. The case can be registered only as per procedures. Summoning of persons will take place only after that [registration of case],'' CBI spokesperson Dharini Mishra said here.
