Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Wednesday said the breach of privilege notice moved against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh by the Bharatiya Janata Party was under her consideration.

BJP Deputy Leader Gopinath Munde and 44 other MPs moved the notice on Tuesday, under Section 222 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business after Dr. Singh announced outside Parliament the rejection of a demand for a joint parliamentary committee to probe the Indian Premier League and phone-tapping issues.

“I have got the notice; it is under my consideration,” the Speaker told the House.
