Sonia, Rahul to attend Modi’s swearing-in

Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi will represent the party at the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister on Monday in the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Ms. Gandhi congratulated Mr. Modi on May 20 shortly after he was elected leader of the BJP Parliamentary Party and the National Democratic Alliance.

On Saturday, Congress Parliamentary Party, in a resolution, greeted and offered good wishes to the new government led by Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi.
