Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday had another round of discussions with party seniors like Pranab Mukherjee, A.K. Antony and P. Chidambaram on the Telangana issue.

It is said the Centre might come out with a statement clarifying that it was firm on the continuation of the process of the separate State as Telangana leaders including Congress MPs and State Ministers expressed unhappiness over the vagueness in the statement issued by Home Minister P. Chidambaram on Wednesday. They have been pressing the Centre to announce a time frame within which the separate State would be formed.

The Telangana Joint Political Action Committee has issued an ultimatum to the Centre to announce the time frame by Monday failing which it would go ahead with an indefinite bandh.
