Show-cause to MTV, Bindaas channels

The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has issued show-cause notices to MTV and Bindaas channel for showing programmes which allegedly offend good taste and decency, and denigrate women.

MTV’s Splitsvilla-3 is a reality show featuring five couples and 10 singles, which the Ministry says involves backbiting, cheating and obscene visuals. Bindaas telecasts Emotional Attyachar, which tries to reveal the real truths behind relationships by conducting sting operations on unsuspecting persons.
