Seek apology from Sonia; Home Minister clarifies he only said what was already stated before

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday demanded an apology from Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde for his “saffron terrorism” charge against the party and the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh.

“Mr. Shinde’s remarks made at the Congress’s chintan shivir in Jaipur are not only highly objectionable but dangerous and can have serious consequences,” warned BJP spokesperson and vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.

‘A bid to woo minorities’

Attributing Mr. Shinde’s remarks to compulsions of ‘vote bank’ politics, RSS spokesman Ram Madhav said false allegations against the RSS-BJP by the Home Minister before investigations were over in blast cases was an attempt by him to woo minorities.

“Saffron is the antonym of terrorism,” tweeted BJP leader Sushma Swaraj. “Saffron is the symbol of our traditions, culture, renunciation and sacrifices,” she said, demanding that the Home Minister apologise to the nation.

Reacting strongly, Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut and BJP Leader of the Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council Vinod Tawde said if the Home Minister had any evidence to back his charges, he should come out with it.

Mr. Shinde later clarified that he had only stated what had already been said before.

However, Mr. Naqvi told journalists that the statement, made for political reasons, was aimed at disrupting peace and harmony in the country.

Terming the RSS a “nationalist organisation,” he demanded that Ms. Gandhi apologise. “Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and the Home Minister should apologise. Otherwise there will be serious consequences. This is not acceptable. Such baseless things when uttered by the Home Minister amounts to giving a clean chit to real terrorists,” he said.

‘Group of cowards’

Mr. Shinde’s statement had given “oxygen” to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and strengthened anti-India terrorist groups within the country, he said.

“The Congress has become a group of cowards [kayaron ki jamaat] because terror strikes are repeatedly happening in the country and terrorists are mushrooming here. Terrorists infiltrate from across the border. Pakistani troops and terrorists behead our jawans at the border and our Prime Minister takes too long to respond to that. Only when the entire nation is agitated that our government gives a warning to Pakistan and the warning is nothing but an empty one leading to ridicule,” he said.

Congress politicians have lost their political moorings. Even their democratic instincts have been smothered by power and it is their total faith in the Gandhi-Nehru family which is is currently keeping them afloat while their electoral prospects are waning at a very fast rate. Unfortunately for them they are still to realise that the political instincts of the people of this country have made them look at ruling family with sharp eyes.

RSS is a pure nationalist, patriotic apolitical, social and cultural organization in our nation. I strongly condemn and protest Home minister's comment on Hindu Terror. His comment is totally baseless, prejudiced, intentional and deliberate. By this heinous and irresponsible comment on such patriotic organization like RSS he is encouraging anti nationalist forces of our nation. What a home minister our nation has got! RSS training camp only a "Man making workshop" on the ideal of Swami Vivekananda and The Congress Party is always afraid of the effort of RSS to uplift and spread the honest, good and nationalist forces. That’s why they are misguiding and misleading the whole nation by this silly and trivial baseless comment.

The statement made by Shinde is 100% correct. The Shiva sena and the BJP are cast in the same module of terrorizing the Indians in the name of Religion for their vote bank politics.Because of their narrow minded communal politics Indians are fighting amongst themselves .There is no peace in India because of religion. For a commom man, poor people and downtrodden religion do not provide any thing. But for this group it gives every thing .If peace and tranquility is to prevail in India these groups to be banned.

In Indian history, we had no terrorism at all until occupation of
Britain. When they left the country, they had already
sowed the seeds to divide India by introducing its education system
and it was too late for our politicians to realise the seriousness
now we are facing. Due to this, the cross section of minority started making their movements to dominate in the regional level and now it has come to national level with money power from outside India and our straightforward majority has no control on this nowadays. So we have to suffer or we have to explode. It is upto the society to understand each other and maintain harmony.

Nobody can save India now, unless its own people initiate to commit and dedicate for integrity.

What Mr Shinde said is very very true. Why BJP should have relations with this RSS and Siva sena. If the BJP wants to come to power the party should severe it relations with these people. These Siva sena people invoke sentiments like Maharashtraians, first thing to think is about Indian. These people donot talk like what a Indian should talk. Because of this the parties are thinking wheather to have alliance with the BJP. BJP should think about this for the good of the country.
