The CBI has found no substance in the allegation that Union Home Minister Sushi Kumar Shinde owned a benami flat in Mumbai’s scam-tainted Adarsh Society. In an affidavit filed in the Bombay High Court on Thursday, the CBI said it was not legally necessary to name Mr. Shinde as an accused in the investigation of the case. The CBI was replying to an affidavit filed by social activist Pravin Wategaonkar in the ongoing PIL in this case.
