Senior Congress leader and former Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram has joined the popular micro blogging site Twitter and says he is on board for sharing serious views.

As already a few poeple have Twitter accounts by the same name “P Chidambaram”, some had requested the former minister’s son Karti, who is on the micro blogging site since 2009, to confirm if it was a genuine Twitter account of his father.

He confirmed it, replying to some of the queries on his father’s Twitter account saying, “Better late than never.”

So far, P. Chidambaram has made eleven tweets, he is following seven and has 4,401 followers.

Other political personalities in Tamil Nadu including DMK chief Karunanidhi, MK Stalin and PMK leader S Ramadoss already have Twitter accounts. However, AIADMK supremo and Chief Minister Jayalalithaa doesn’t have one.
