On November 6, the police had arrested Surendra Poll (24). During interrogation, Poll, who was remanded in police custody for seven days, is learnt to have disclosed the names of all those who were behind Mr. Simeon’s murder.

Hunger strike withdrawn

Meanwhile, three Nigerian nationals, who were on hunger strike at the Aguada jail demanding that their statements be recorded by the Goa Human Rights Commission, called off their fast on Friday night after the panel’s secretary, Bhalachandra Mahale, met them and recorded their statements.
