Officials of the Pakistan High Commission on Sunday again had consular access to Sanaullah and were told that his condition remains unchanged.

Sanaullah, a Pakistani Prisoner who was brutally attacked in a Jammu jail on the day Sarabjit, the Indian victim of a similar attack in Lahore jail, was cremated in India.

Meanwhile, India has granted Pakistan High Commissioner Salman Bashir permission to visit Chandigarh and meet the critically injured Pakistani prisoner, said official sources with the Ministry of External Affairs here.

In Chandigarh, Pakistani diplomats were informed by a medical board that Sanaullah’s neurological status continues to be same as Saturday — deep coma — and he remains on ventilator. Hence, he continues to be critically sick, said Manzoor Memon, Press Officer with the Pakistan High Commission, in New Delhi.
