August 09, 2011 12:44 am | Updated 12:44 am IST - Mumbai:

The Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court has rejected a bail application of 2008 Malegaon blast prime accused sadhvi Pragnyasingh Thakur. “We wanted two-month bail on health grounds. But the court has rejected the bail application,” Sadhvi's counsel Rameshwar Gite told The Hindu on Monday.

He said the court issued a one-line order, stating: “For reasons separately recorded, the bail application has been rejected.”

The defence argued that the sadhvi was suffering from many physical and mental ailments But the prosecution argued she was totally hale-and-hearty.
