Making a rather rare appearance, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar attended the Rajya Sabha proceedings on Thursday.

Tendulkar listened to the debate and discussion during the Question Hour. The cricket icon is a nominated member of the Upper House.

Tendulkar has often remained absent from the Upper House.

In the past also questions have been raised about the absence of celebrities nominated to the Upper House.

Samajwadi Party member Naresh Agarwal had recently raised some questions in this regard.

Apart from Tendulkar, another iconic sportsperson, boxing star Mary Kom was present in the Upper House.
