Rupak Kumar Dutta, an IPS Officer of 1981 Batch (Karnataka Cadre), took over as Special Director in the CBI, New Delhi. Prior to his appointment as a Special Director, he was holding the post of Additional Director in the CBI and looking after the Anti Corruption (HQ) Zone, Patna Zone, Hyderabad Zone, Chennai Zone, Economic Offences Zone-I, Bank Securities and Frauds Zone and Delhi Zone, a release said.
