Relatives of slain Maoists claim bodies

March 29, 2013 11:43 pm | Updated October 18, 2016 02:53 pm IST - Chatra (Jharkhand):

Relatives of seven of the 10 Maoists, who were killed by Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) ultras near Lakramanda village, claimed the bodies today, the police said.

The bodies were handed over to them after post-mortem at Sadar hospital here in the presence of senior police officers, sources said.

There were no claimants for three other bodies, the police said.

The ultras of TPC had killed the 10 Maoists yesterday and had claimed to have kidnapped as many. They maintained their claim through local media today. But the police said they had no such information.

The rebel outfits have running feud ever since TPC broke away from CPI (Maoist) in 2002. — PTI
