Reinstate the services of chappal-thrower, says Arvind Kejriwal

October 21, 2011 01:27 am | Updated November 17, 2021 12:53 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday urged the construction company that sacked the person who threw a chappal at him in Lucknow to re-employ him.

In a letter written to the chairman of the company on Thursday, Mr. Kejriwal said there should be no ill-will against Jitendra Pathak who did what he did under political pressure or misunderstanding.

‘Counter-productive'

“Removing him from service will not serve any purpose. On the contrary it will be a kind of violence against him and his family.”

A member of the anti-corruption movement said, Mr. Pathak was also facing problems with his landlord who had asked him to vacate his house.
