June 18, 2011 10:17 pm | Updated November 11, 2016 05:58 am IST - Raipur:

A helicopter carrying Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and one of his Cabinet colleagues made an emergency landing on Saturday due to bad weather, in a town 65 km from here. Both are safe, a senior police official said.

The copter was transporting Mr. Singh and Panchayati Raj Minister Ramvichar Netam from a marriage function held at the house of Food Minister Punnu Lal Mohle.

The weather turned bad soon after the helicopter took off, forcing it to land back in Baloda Bazar town. The Chief Minister and Netam were taken by road to Raipur.
