The Rajya Sabha was Monday adjourned till noon after members of the house created an uproar over the meeting of an aide of yoga guru Ramdev with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder Hafeez Saeed.

As soon as the house met after the first adjournment of 15 minutes, members continued to protest and raised questions regarding the meeting between Ved Pratap Vaidik and Saeed.

Several Congress leaders, including Digvijaya Singh, Anand Sharma and Ambika Soni, raised the issue and did not let the question hour begin.

They also sought an explanation from the government.

Amid the din, Chairman M. Hamid Ansari adjourned the house till noon.
