Railways suspend four for accidents

The Railways have suspended the drivers and assistant drivers of Lichchavi Express and Gorakhdham Express in connection with two accidents in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.

The Northern Railway placed under suspension Gorakhdham Express driver Jaipal Singh and assistant driver Md. Irfan for the collision of their train into the stationary Prayagraj Express near Panki railway station near Kanpur.

The North Central Railway suspended driver Awdesh Kumar and assistant driver Mahendra Pratap for the collision of the Lichchavi Express into the stationary Magadh Express.
