Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examinations scheduled for June 27 have been postponed, as two earlier examinations were rigged.
The examinations for the posts of enquiry-cum-reservation clerk and goods' guard were postponed on Saturday as a precautionary measure. The Railway Board is making a technical audit, following the CBI investigation into the examinations held by all RRBs for the posts of assistant station master and assistant loco pilot on June 6 and June 13.
Informed sources said the board was still evaluating the extent to which the earlier two phases of the examination had been affected by the scam unearthed by the CBI.
The board placed under suspension RRB Mumbai chairman S.M.Sharma after the CBI took his son, Vivek Bhardwaj Sharma, and seven others into custody.
Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee had revamped all RRBs and put in place a new chairman ahead of the new system of conducting examinations simultaneously across the country the same day for a particular post.
