UPA chairperson and Congress president Sonia Gandhi laid the foundation stone for a Rs.1,100-crore rail wheel manufacturing unit at Lalganj in her constituency, Rae Bareli, on Tuesday. She also performed the “bhumi pujan” (ground breaking ceremony) for the proposed All India Institute of Medical Sciences to be set up near Munshiganj. Ms. Gandhi was accompanied by Priyanka Vadra.
