Rail wheel making unit for Rae Bareli

UPA chairperson and Congress president Sonia Gandhi laid the foundation stone for a Rs.1,100-crore rail wheel manufacturing unit at Lalganj in her constituency, Rae Bareli, on Tuesday. She also performed the “bhumi pujan” (ground breaking ceremony) for the proposed All India Institute of Medical Sciences to be set up near Munshiganj. Ms. Gandhi was accompanied by Priyanka Vadra.

Mainstream politicians are creating these "development islands" in their
respective constituencies and they keep talking about inclusive and
substantial growth.Forget about India I doubt there is any other place
in UP which is as laden with Government projects as Rae Bareli. We can
replace inclusive and substantial with selfish and partial.

It is time now to evaluate the economic impact of all development
projects funded by the central Government in Rae Bareli and Amethi
constituencies right from Ms. Indira Gandhi's time till 2012 and find
out the rate of economic return on the investments made on each project
as also employment generated.

These are last minute arrangement to win over the innocent people's
vote in the forth coming election.What the Government was doing all
these years and why they should arrange Boomi pooja now and laying
foundation ceremony for AIIMS.People should understand and vote for the
right candidate instead of cherishma.

Not a good decision. Development is confined to Rai Bareily and Amethi. If the government wants to combat Maoism, such units should be set up in Jharkhand or backward areas of Andhra.
