Rail Neer price increased

The railways have increased the price of packaged drinking water produced by IRCTC under the brand name Rail Neer by as much as 25 percent.

The one litre bottle which so far could be bought for Rs. 12 will now be available at Rs. 15 in trains and stations. Similarly the 500 ml capacity bottle could be had for Rs. 10 as against its earlier price of Rs. 8.

The railways have also allowed a hike in the price of the other brands of packaged water bottles that are permitted for sale on trains and stations at prices on par with the maximum retail price fixed for the two capacities of Rail Neer bottles.
