Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, on Thursday, kept at his aggressive stance against the BJP, accusing the party of plagiarising the Congress manifesto and continuing direct attacks on its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

At a public meeting in support of Congress candidate Rajbala Ola in Jhunjhunu, Mr. Gandhi said the BJP’s election manifesto was simply a copy of the Congress’.

“Six months ago, we [the Congress] started work on our manifesto. We went to the poor, the farmers ... what did the BJP do? They removed the Congress’ Hand symbol and pasted its Lotus symbol ... they have promised right to health ... in Rajasthan, they have stopped giving out free medicines under a scheme started by the previous Congress government and now they claim they will implement it nationally,” he said.

Mr. Gandhi said the scheme would be implemented nationally if the Congress came to power.

Accompanied by Pradesh Congress Committee president Sachin Pilot, State election in-charge Kumari Selja and former State Congress chief Chandrabhan, Mr. Gandhi struck a chord with the audience with his new style laced with wit, humour and sarcasm in equal measure.

He continued his attack on Mr. Modi over the latter’s statement about being a “chowkidar” (security guard) for the country. “He wants to become ‘chowkidar’ of Hindustan; he says give me the keys to Hindustan’s treasury. Let me tell you, sometimes ‘chowkidar’ also steals. The difference is we want to make you [people] the chowkidar; give the keys to crores of Indians,” Mr. Gandhi said.

Modi made used the word "chowkidar" just to gain sympathy and then
votes. Rahul has made a vey sensible point here that sometimes a
chowkidar also "indulges in theft" so the "keys" of the country cannot
be given to just one person. Modi wants to rule the nation with power,
he would not keep people happy as he failed to impress senior members of
his own party.

BJP's claim to work for empowerment of women is all false. Gujarat
policemen are sent behind women while their workers beat women in
Karnataka in the name of moral policing and their MLAs watch porn on
mobile phone in Assembly. What kind of behavior is this? It is really
shameful.

There is a big difference between Congress and BJP which is reflected in
the fact that while Modi seeks support of people saying he wants to
become a chowkidar of the country, Congress wants to make crores of
people the country's 'chowkidar'.

Congress is very transparent about its agendas. It wants to hand over
the keys of the country to crores of people of the nation because we
people don't need one chowkidar. There are already several big
chowkidars and they needed to be removed. Thanks to UPA govt., it
brought right to information and MGNREGA.

BJP has not done work for women. Congress empowered women. There are
talks of Gujarat model. BJP people say there is a lot of progress in
Gujarat. But in Gujarat, policemen are sent behind women, women's phones
are tapped by policemen.

What did BJP do for weaker and poor people? Congress has taken several
decisions in the interest of farmers and empowered them along with
women. Loans were waived by UPA government. Doors of banks were always
opened for farmers and women, and several other works for their
empowerment were undertaken by the government.

"Congress wants to give the nation right of health", proclaims Rahul G.
But, your party has already given the greatest right, right to poverty!
For how many generations, your party has been talking about garibi
hatao, pro-poor policies etc. etc.

After Mrs Indira Gandhi's assassination, HKL Bhagat organized large-scale violence against Sikhs in Delhi. What answer does the Congress have for this ?

Already nehru, Gandhi(Duplicate) and vadra had looted the country. How
much more you had planned for looting? People of India do not want
family politics any more.

Raul is seeing Modi with the 'Congress' lens and hence presume chowkidar
will be like congressmen indulging in looting their own country. Modi
would show them real chowkidar who guards the nation and takes it to
prosperity. I am surprised how dare he talks about corruption when
Congress has taken PhD in that from top to bottom whereas other parties
have only few corrupt people and that too kinder garden level. It is
only 35 days to go before India gets rid of Congress forever.

Very true baba, in Karnataka women are beaten up, but in your Delhi they
are raped isn't it? now what sounds better? Chowkidars sometimes indulge
in theft, but your family has indulged in large scale loot for almost 6
decades now!! Get your facts straight Baba.

This can be seen as different view also when there will be crores of
"chowkidaars" If one will take the bribe then other will also take and
it will continue till end and normal people will get "Babaji ka Thullu".

Mother son duo are putting best efforts, jibes of all sorts to sustain
congress rule at the centre while gullible illiterate masses are a mute
witness to the drama. Any future government should concentrate on solar
energy, better roads, fillip to farmers and empowerment of youth and
women to make India trash-free.

RAGA's speeches are the great examples of how the speech should not be! Take any of his speeches, there is absolutely no content in it. What he says is that we have given to you certain things as if he has given from his own pocket.Till date that dynastic mentality is with him.Or he says is just criticizing Mr. Modi! Instead, he should talk about his vision, his plans for better India.Unfortunate part is that he simply not aware of the reality! He is in politics since last decade, but what is his contribution? It's a big zero! Without taking any responsibility he wants to take the credit!Secondly, people are getting irritated to see him with his mother! He is 40+ now, why he wants to be in the shadow of his mother? It means on your own you are not capable. So the time has come for you and your party to have introspection!
