Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday took to social media platform Twitter and asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to spell out his plans on how to create jobs for the youth, getting the Chinese out of Doklam and stopping rapes in Haryana.

Mr. Gandhi’s questions were actually a response to Mr. Modi’s Thursday tweet where he asked people to suggest ideas for his radio programme Mann ki Baat scheduled for January 28, the first to be broadcast in the new year.

“Dear Narendra Modi, since you’ve requested some ideas for your Mann Ki Baat monologue, tell us about how you plan to: 1. Get our youth JOBS. 2. Get the Chinese out of DHOKA-LAM. 3. Stop the RAPES in Haryana,” Mr. Gandhi tweeted.

On Monday, citing news reports, the Congress had alleged that Chinese troops had built massive military infrastructure barely 10 metres from the trenches occupied by Indian troops.

Party’s allegation

The External Affairs Ministry denied these news reports as inaccurate, and asserted that nothing had changed at the face-off site — the trijunction on the Doklam Plateau where Indian and Chinese troops were involved in a 72-day standoff.

But the Congress chief did not accept the Ministry’s statement and played around the Hindi word Dhoka or deceit.

Alleging that the government had failed on matters of national security, the Congress claimed that there has been a 500% jump in ceasefire violations in the past 44 months of the Modi government. “Since May 26, 2014, during the Modi government, 304 personnel of our brave security forces have been martyred and 194 civilians have died in Jammu and Kashmir alone,” said Congress leader Randeep Surjewala. The Haryana government has also come under sharp criticism over the spate of sexual violence in the State in the past few days.
