Actor and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt on Wednesday registered a police complaint against an unknown person who allegedly abused and threatened her over the phone.

“He used obscene language against her. She has provided us the number from which she received the calls. We have booked the unknown person under Sections 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman). We have not yet arrested anyone. Investigation is going on,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone IX) Pratap Dighavkar said.

Police sources said they would go through the call records of the actor to get more details. The caller allegedly called Ms. Bhatt on Tuesday night and threatened her. The actor claimed that the caller was in an inebriated condition.
