Royal Challengers Bangalore player Luke Pomersbach has rubbished the allegations of molestation against him by an Indian American woman and said he was utterly “shocked and disappointed” by the developments.

“[I am] shocked to be in this position. I can't believe this is happening and I'm really disappointed when people make things up,” Mr. Pomersbach was quoted as saying by The WeekendAustralian newspaper.

Mr. Pomersbach, who has not played a single game for RCB this season, was arrested on Friday on charges of molesting the woman and severely attacking her fiance, leaving him in hospital.

The Australian player allegedly misbehaved with the woman, a U.S. citizen of Indian origin, at the Maurya Sheraton Hotel in New Delhi on Thursday night after RCB's IPL match against Delhi Daredevils.
