The Crime Branch police on Friday raided the residential and business premises of the former Goa Tourism Minister, Mickky Pacheco, the prime accused in the Nadia Torrado case, and seized computers, files and other documents.

The police indicated that more raids might take place.

Mr. Pacheco has been evading investigators for over a week after he resigned as Minister in the wake of his alleged involvement in the death of the woman, who was closely associated with him.

Nadia Torrado (28) of south Goa died a fortnight ago in a Chennai hospital, where she was admitted after she had allegedly consumed rat poison.Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court Bench in Goa has deferred to Monday the hearing of an application by a co-accused, Lyndon Monteiro, who appealed against the rejection of his anticipatory bail plea by the District Sessions Court in Margao.
