PM appeals for peace

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday appeal to the nation for “peace and harmony'' in the wake of the Supreme Court clearing the way for Ayodhya verdict to be delivered by the Allahabad High Court on Thursday.

“Whatever the nature of the judgment, everyone should make every effort to maintain peace, harmony and tranquillity in the country,'' he told journalists on the sidelines of a book release function.
