A parliamentary delegation from Pakistan on Friday witnessed the proceedings of the Lok Sabha but the delegates were miffed at not being able to meet the Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.

The failure of the visiting parliamentary delegation to meet the Speaker was attributed to a “tactical error” on the part of senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Mani Shankar Aiyar who had arranged their visit to Parliament.

The delegation witnessed the proceedings of the Lok Sabha and had an appointment to meet the Speaker at 1 p. m. but reached her office a little later by which time the Speaker had left.
