Prime Minister Narendra Modi is presented with the autographed tennis racquets that Leander Paes and Martina Hingis played the Australian Open Mixed Doubles Finals with, in New Delhi on Thursday.

Mixed-doubles partners Leander Paes and Martina Hingis met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Thursday and presented him autographed racquets with which they won the 2015 Australian Open title.

Mr. Modi described the meeting with the Indo-Swiss pair as wonderful before posting a picture of the racquets. “Kind of you @mhingis & @Leander to present autographed racquets with which you played Aus Open Mixed Doubles Finals,” he tweeted.

Paes, who won his 15th Grand Slam title in Melbourne, said it was an honour meeting the Prime Minister.

“Great honour to meet you Sir,Shri @narendramodi I will continue to work to make our country proud,” he tweeted.
