We will soon form government: Anbalagan

May 21, 2011 03:01 am | Updated 03:01 am IST - PUDUCHERRY:

Newly elected leader of the AIADMK Legislature party A. Anbalagan on Friday said his party will shortly form the government in the Union Territory.

Criticising president of All India NR Congress and Chief Minister N. Rangasamy for forming his government without consulting its alliance partner, the AIADMK, he said, “Such a government formed by betraying people will not last long. An AIADMK government with the blessings of party chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa will be shortly formed in Puduherry,” he said addressing a press conference here on Friday.

The AIADMK leadership completely trusted Mr. Rangasamy that he would agree to include party legislators in the Ministry as per the pre- poll agreement, he said. Mr. Anbalagan accused the Chief Minister of violating the alliance dharma and tradition.

Reminding Mr. Rangasamy that it was Ms. Jayalalithaa who declared him as the Chief Minister during campaign trial, he said the former did not even show the courtesy to inform the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister or AIADMK leadership about his decision to stake claim to form the government.
