Violence continues unabated in Vadodara

In the communally charged atmosphere in Vadodara, violence continued unabated on day three in parts of the city on Saturday night. Three incidents — two of stabbing and one of stone-pelting and community clash — took place in the night in the city area. 

In Mandivi area, a milkman going on his bicycle was attacked with sticks and injured with a knife by a group of 30 people. In another similar attack a youth on a motorcycle was attacked with a knife. In the Yakutpura area, a huge mob of over 1,000 people from two communities clashed with each other. They pelted stones and vandalised the microphone in a police vehicle, the police told The Hindu .
