Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje dedicated a number of projects for Jaipur smart city on the first anniversary of the Smart City Mission.

The projects, inaugurated at Birla Auditorium, were a rooftop solar power plant, 14 traditional step wells, park and real-time ‘Public Information System’ in Bus—Q—Shelter.

“The day is not far when with the vision and the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the city of Jaipur would rank number one in the Smart City Mission,” Raje said.

“Under the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ too, Rajasthan is ahead of other states. Bikaner has already become open defecation—free district in the state and seven other districts would also become open defecation—free,” she said.
