The coming Assembly election in Uttarakhand are a test for the National Democratic Alliance before the 2014 general election, said BJP president Nitin Gadkari on Sunday.
Addressing a training convention of select representatives from the block to the State-level here, Mr. Gadkari urged ticket-seekers to go to villages where the masses would decide their fate.
The party in charge for Uttarakhand, Rajnath Singh, Saudan Singh and several top leaders were present.
Mr. Gadkari said the NDA, when in power, created three smaller States — Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh — while the Congress was delaying a decision on Telangana even as the strike continued in Hyderabad. “Will they try to resolve the issue before it is too late or continue their game until the NDA resolved it?” Earlier, talking to journalists, Mr. Rajnath Singh said the people had seen through the “Congress' game of loot” and would do justice through the ballot.
